Rowan's Motion
We know the heavy toll that addiction brings into one’s life. As some of our participants arrive battling these addictions, we have always been committed to helping their path to recovery. In our efforts to help them find sobriety, Hope the Mission is working with Councilmember Blumenfield to start a new initiative called Rowan’s Motion — where participants will be incentivized with a $250 gift card or EBT credit for each month they test negative for drugs.

Back in December 2024, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved of this pilot program. During the entirety of this six-month pilot, a third-party evaluator will monitor this program and determine if this will serve as a model for other Los Angeles shelters.
