Pets of Hope

There are so many benefits from allowing pets in our shelters.

Allowing pets in our shelters has many benefits for both the individuals experiencing homelessness and their animal companions. Pets provide immense emotional support and companionship, particularly in challenging times. For individuals facing homelessness, their pets often serve as a source of comfort, love, and stability.

Interacting with pets has been shown to have numerous health benefits, such as reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and boosting overall well-being. By allowing pets in shelters, individuals experiencing homelessness can access these positive effects, which can contribute to their physical and mental health.

The list goes on and on! However we do face challenges from allowing pets in our shelters. Caring for pets can be costly. Just as we care for the needs of our clients, Hope the Mission also takes on the responsibility of providing the needs of our onsite animals. This includes providing pet food, leashes, collars, kennels, shots, medicine and other veterinarian services.

We ask you to please give a special gift that we can use to assist our 100+ pets under our supervision! No gift is too big or too small. Please give as generously as you can today!
